🔐 Connection & Authentication

Connect wallet (BlockStar Wallet or MetaMask)
Sign the encryption key message when prompted
Verify your @name NFT loads correctly
Check that "E2E Encrypted" badge shows in header
Log out and log back in - verify it works smoothly

💬 Direct Messaging

Start a new conversation with another user
Send a text message
Receive a text message from another user
Verify messages decrypt and display correctly
Check single checkmark (✓) shows for sent/delivered
Check double checkmarks (✓✓) show when recipient reads message
Send a message with a link - verify it's clickable
Refresh page - verify messages still display correctly

👥 Group Chat

Create a new group chat
Add at least 2 members to the group
Send a text message in the group
Receive messages from other group members
Verify group shows purple icon and member count in sidebar

📁 File Sharing

Send an image in direct message
Send a document/file in direct message
Verify image displays correctly for recipient
Send an image in group chat
Send a file in group chat
Download a received file - verify it opens correctly

🎤 Voice Messages

Record and send a voice message in direct chat
Play a received voice message
Record and send a voice message in group chat
Verify voice messages show duration correctly

📞 Voice & Video Calls

Initiate a voice call with another user
Receive an incoming voice call
Test call audio quality (can you hear each other?)
Initiate a video call
Test video quality
End a call using the hang up button

🟢 User Status & Presence

Check that online users show green dot
Check that offline users show gray status
Verify status updates when user comes online/offline
Verify "Last seen" time displays for offline users

🔍 Search & Navigation

Search for a user by @name
Search for a user by wallet address
Search messages within a conversation
Switch between different conversations

⚡ Edge Cases & Stress Testing

Send multiple messages quickly in succession
Send a very long message (500+ characters)
Send message while recipient is offline - does it deliver when they come online?
Refresh page during a conversation - do messages persist?
Test on mobile browser (if applicable)
